Start working with Perl in Windows XP – what needed to setup ?

Problem: My professor told me to use Perl run directly from the server which is Unix OS. So what u need is to run Unix applications from Windows, how to ?

x-win32, download here if you’re in I2R or you can download from the product’s homepage, will help you.
After install xwin32, u can create a command-line-terminal connection which help to execute shell (bash) commands on that Unix OS.

Problem 2nd: Next, I want to copy files from Unix OS to Windows XP OS, how can I?

SSH Secure from www.ssh.com will help you to have a TotalCommander-like user interface where u can easily transfer, rename, … on files of both OS at once.
